‘Kvinde Kend din Krop’ (Woman know your body) is an iconic best seller in Denmark. It’s a handbook written by women, for women. It was first time published in 1975 and once every decade since.
I was briefed to design the 2020 edition of the book and establish a digital look with a focus on a younger audience. I wanted to create a coffee table book, visually appealing, at the same time leaving no doubt about what the book is all about.
I used embroidery to draw on the book’s original 1970’s vibes. Combined with vibrant acrylic paint I created a more fun and delicate expression.
